HALF IROAN DISTANCE - COURSE
In the water there are 3 buoys that form a 750 meter triangle. First, there are two “rings” and then a swim around the buoy no. 1 and back to goal. Total distance 1900 meters
Cycle from the exchange area up to Laugarvatnsvegur (road 37) in the direction of Svínavatn where the turning point is about 6 km (yellow ring), from there you cycle back to the roundabout at Laugarvatn (blue ring) and turn onto Lyngdalsheiðarvegur (road 365). There are about 11 km ready. Ride over the heath and turn left onto Þingvellir Road (36) (black ring) and cycle about 5 km south to the turning point (orange ring). Turn round and cycle the same way back over the heath to roundabout at Laugarvatn (Blue ring). The route is repeated over to the turning point (black ring) and back to the exchange area. Elevation gain approximately 700m.
Go north from the changing area along the lake. From there, a paved road crosses road 37 and up to the camp site. Go up the hill and back through the forest path. Once again crossing road 37 down Laugabraut towards the exchange area, turn right. There is a loop towards south that ends in the same place. The circle is 5 km and there are 4 rings, a total of 20 km. The largest part is on soft offroad paths.
